Verse of the Day:

For he will rescue you from the hunter’s trap and from the deadly pestilence. – Psalms 91:3

This Week at CMC-JAX

Christ the Messiah Church and Covid-19

We have been in daily contact with the City of Jacksonville Mayor’s office and the Governor’s Covid-19 Help desk for updates, recommendations, and mandates that effect CMC activities.

In that light of the newly extended mandates (another 30 days) we are will temporarily suspended on campus, face-to-face, Bible studies until further notice.

Thursday’s ‘Digging Deeper’ Bible Study (St. Mark) and Saturday’s Torah Studies (currently in Leviticus) are going to be taught on Facebook Live Stream (Ed Bez) and on Zoom.

We are still trying to be available to the congregation in their time of need. We ask the following: 1.) Please if you are coughing, sneezing, running a fever stay indoors, but we will pray for you over the phone. 2.) If you need to come on campus please call ahead, the Pastors will plan to meet with you in a safe place with appropriate personal distancing.

Bring a lawn chair for SUNDAY! We ARE still having an Open-Air service on Campus every Sunday at 10 AM.  The early start is designed to “beat the heat”, and get you home sooner. We have deliberately designed shorter services.

If you are still concerned about personal contact with others, we understand and have provided another way for you to join us each Sunday.  Drive in Church. That’s right. Simply park your vehicle in the back of the church grounds, find some shady area, then tune into 90.3 FM on your radio and watch, hear, and join in the service in the safety of your car.

To those members and friends of CMC know our hearts…if you determine for yourselves not to physically attend Sunday Open Air services we are supportive of that decision. There will be no pressure for you to do otherwise nor any sense of social shaming from this church.

If you choose to attend the bring a comfortable lawn chair for SUNDAYs. Dress appropriately (modestly) for an Open-Air meeting. Temperatures will climb in the weeks ahead. Umbrellas and hand fans are encouraged.

Remember, we will continue to have a social media presence as well. It is okay to stay in place at home. You matter to us!

A YouTube is channel is coming soon to broaden our outreach to the community of believers. Thus, we have FB, Live Streaming, Zoom, and soon- Youtube, perhaps even Godtube as well.

Excited to see you soon.

Pastors Ed and Rachel

Scheduled Weekly Services

Please note all classes are suspended temporarily. We are cooperating with our local, state, and national authorities according to Romans 13. We are confident the Lord will help us overcome this global pandemic crisis.

Open Air service on the campus. Bring lawn chairs, umbrellas, and dress for warm temperatures. We are live streaming on Facebook.

Drive in folk can pick us up on 90.3 FM

Final Friday’s Bible Study & Fellowship

Final Friday;s are on hold, like so many other activities, due to COVID-19, but we will resume once there is a level of safety in being socially together once again.

Fifth Sunday

Invite your friends and neighbors to a ‘family-style Sunday.” The dress code is causal-comfortable, come just as you are. Only two guidelines, modesty and respectful graphic design if you choose tee-shirts. Some church members have Christ the Messiah Church logo Tee-shirts and this would be the Sunday to ‘represent’.
